History/Significance Built by the Rajput rulers of Bundelkhand. The palace has a beautiful entrance gateway the Deori darwaza and a very impressive Darbar Hall with an ornamental ceiling.
Threat Neglect and lack of maintenance
Remark Picturesque Charkhari which was a culturally rich princely state before Independence has been referred to as the ‘Kashmir of Bundelkhand’ and a ‘Mini Vrindavan’. A number of temples and water bodies dot the landscape of the town.
